Director of Strategic Planning and Outreach of Portland Seminary

This position provides strategic leadership at Portland Seminary by providing thought leadership to the Dean of Portland Seminary and oversight of the masters programs daily operations.

Leadership Support

• Works with the dean and director of DMin programs in strategic thinking and planning for long term program viability'location, programs, mission and vision fit, etc.
• Responsible for analysis and streamlining of processes and procedures for Masters programs to increase productivity and eliminate redundancies
• Oversees annual ATS report submission and contributes to follow up reports required by ATS

Masters Programs Oversight

• Ensures consistency across all masters courses, syllabi structures, course & site construction in line with NWCCU and ATS standards
• Oversees Program Assessments: student Candidacy and Assessment, course evaluations, and other assessments as necessary
• Designs course schedule based on student enrollment projections
• Works with the dean for recruitment of adjuncts: trains and supports adjunct faculty
• Oversees spiritual directors programs and leadership coaches
• Collaborates with Associate Director to set the vision for WaterFront and BridgeWeek in keeping with program objectives
• Analyzes and disburses scholarships in conjunction with dean, and program directors
• Provides oversight for Masters budgets, manages own visa monthly

Other duties

• Works with Advancement office to cultivate relationships with alumni
• Communicates with external constituents to establish networking relationships
• Contributes to community building online through social media engagement

Qualifications/Requirements

• Seminary Master's degree required, doctorate preferred
• Three plus (3) years pastoral related work experience preferred
• Ability to effectively manage several projects at once and meet deadlines
• Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills resulting in effective relationships with students, faculty, and fellow employees
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills

Minimum Qualifications

• Full time position, Monday- Friday 9am-3pm
• Seminary Master's degree required, doctorate preferred
• Three plus (3) years pastoral related work experience preferred
• Expertise working with diverse students and employees
