Media Production Specialist III

Purpose for the Position:  Technical support and supervision for Media Production Services

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Manage media equipment and production associated with media capture requests for campus events and teaching.
2. Manage media post production for final product per specifications of university customer.
3. Research and facilitate copyright release of digital media materials used by George Fox University
4. Maintain equipment for video production facility and inventory
5. Assist with support for MPS related Service Desk requests
6. Communicate effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
7. By actions, words and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.
8. Demonstrates awareness, respect and appreciation for diversity of culture, background, race, sex, political views, expressions of faith, etc. and works well with a variety of people.

Associated Duties: 

1. Support and train student employees
2. Assist with media preparation for distribution
3. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in a media related field; proficiency and one year of experience in media production.
2. Ability to work flexible hours
3. High level of dependability and ability to work independently as well as in a teamwork environment.
4. Good problem solving skills.
5. Strong customer service skills.
6. Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing, including on telephone, and to understand and follow instructions.
7. An evangelical Christian commitment and lifestyle consistent with the institution's goals, including signed agreement with GFU Statement of Faith and Community Lifestyle Statement and being in living agreement with same
