Media Production Specialist

The Media Specialist is an integral part of ensuring the success of university academics and events. In this role, you will provide high quality audio and video services during academic, community and athletic events. This will include live audio and video support, video streaming and post-event production. You will also work closely with the rest of the Media Production Services team to build and manage first-rate classroom technology platforms.

Essential Responsibilities

• Plan and produce live campus event productions from concept to completion involving audio, graphics, lighting and video.
• Oversee work study students during event production
• Coordinate the installation and maintenance of all Media Enabled Classroom equipment
• Work with campus and external constituents to ensure consistent results of live events
• Manage video graphics and post-production
• Maintain media production equipment and systems in Bauman Auditorium
• Communicate effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
• By actions, words and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a media related field;
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency with live event audio, lighting and video equipment and systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• High level of dependability and ability to work independently as well as in a teamwork environment.
• Experience and aptitude with technical troubleshooting of media systems.
• Provide on-site training for our departments work study students
• Ability to extend strong customer service to a broad range of constituents.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing, including on telephone, and to understand and follow instructions.
• An evangelical Christian commitment and lifestyle consistent with the institution's goals, including signed agreement with GFU Statement of Faith and Community Lifestyle Statement and being in living agreement with same
