Painter

Do you have painting experience, and are looking to work for a great community? The Painter position at George Fox may just be for you.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Plan, prioritize, schedule and implement a paint schedule (short and long range)
2. Maintaining equipment including scaffolding, brushes, and spray equipment
3. Purchase and inventory control of products
4. Implement cleanup procedures as required by policy
5. Brush, roll or spray paint as required
6. Power wash houses, buildings and decks
7. Complete work orders and deferred maintenance projects
8. Perform other duties associated with light construction
9. Maintain paint records
10. Maintain signs, curbs, parking lot striping, etc.
11. Follow established safety procedures

Associated Duties:

1. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

1. 2 years of painting experience
2. Essential knowledge of paints, stains, varnishes and solvents
3. The ability to manage time efficiently
4. Familiarity with pressure washers, spray paint equipment and tools
5. Valid Oregon driver's license required
6. An evangelical Christian commitment and lifestyle consistent with the institution's goals, including signed agreement with GFC Statement of Faith and Statement of Community Responsibilities.
7. Ability to communicate effectively in English, by telephone, email, and in understanding and following instructions.
